How To Manuals for Synergy Customers

Our “Creating Custom ASP Pages” manual was developed as a guide to the development of new views within Synergy.  The ASP examples include functionality such as lists, counts, a report page that includes links to other ASP pages or views within Synergy, adding search criteria as filters and exporting results as an ASP page to Excel.

This manual is supplemented with twenty-five custom ASP pages (included on a CD) that can be used as examples when creating your new views.

The "Creating Workflow" manual provides a roadmap to using Requests in Synergy.  Before you begin creating a workflow request in Synergy, take a step backwards by reading this manual and clearly defining what you are trying to accomplish for your organization.  Creating new "Requests" is not a clearly defined process that can be repeated in the same manner each time.  It is a very fluid process, which requires creativity and a commitment of trial and error with patience (while creating the requests) to reach your desired results.
 
This document will provide you with a guide to assist you with this process.  It is assumed that the creator of new workflow requests and processes will have an understanding of Synergy, including data tables, roles, request fields and security levels.

This manual provides an example of a internal project (creating a marketing brochure) for the Sales Department.  Meetings are held, using requests for the calendar activities and notes.  Status of the project is determined through the viewing of specific requests (which could be labeled "Milestones" in other Project Management software.  Documents and Workflow linked with this project is is captured and easily accessable.
